Covid-19 pandemic has started to spread in increasing rate in Nepal. When the neighbouring country, India, detected more than 200 thousand corona positive cases in 24 hours the day before, the multi-faced character of the virus amazed the world's scientists and researchers. Once from the last of December to the the early January, the number of positive cases had remarkably gone down. Then people had started to assume that the strength of the virus was reducing. However, starting with the mid of January, the virus revealed its another character infecting the people in unprecedented rate all over the world. 

Several European countries including France and England tightened their health security measures. Some Indian cities declared lockdown. Other countries took necessary steps for the prevention of the pandemic. Among the new positive cases, as mentioned in reports, the number of infected children has grown dramatically in comparison to the cases of the previous year. 

In such an uncertain situation, Nepalese people do not seem to follow any health security measures. People do not wear masks in a public vehicle, or at a public place. Sanitizer is given up. People have left to wash hands again. Unnecessary groupings with little care to the covid-factor have become common. In such an unfavourable situation, the government of Nepal seems to be relaxed about the potential threat of the virus.

In the last 24 hours, 490 cases were found positive just from the 3 thousands 588 tests, adding to build the total infected number 282 thousands and 54. The period saw 5 deaths from the virus. Along with that, the death toll has reached 3 thousands and 66. The figure is really not entertaining because 13.65 percent out of the tested cases in the last 24 hours have been found positive. If the scope of test is increased, the figure is likely to rapidly go up.

In this condition, all the educational institutions have been running free of tension. Neither the government nor the school management has taken any step for the life and safety of hundreds of thousands of little children. The umbrella organisation of the private and boarding schools, PABSON, has showed its unwillingness to close schools even during the killing threat of the unknown disease. Parents and students look perplexed. 

When the complexity and polymorphism of the virus has even baffled the medical experts and scientists of all over the world, Nepalese authoritative bodies are transparently being careless to protect the lives of people from the covid-attack  by preventing it from spreading boundlessly. 
This is the time for the concerned bodies to shoulder their responsibilities for the people.
