The Tuesday's meeting of the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts decided to extend the period of the ongoing Injunction more strictly from 13 Jestha. It was first begun on 16 Baisakh as a measure to control the then rising Corona virus infection rate.

In the extended period of injunction, fruit shops, dairy, butcher's shop and gas stores will be allowed to keep open till 9:00 in the morning. But still more tightening to the restrictions,, the meeting has decided to completely close the food stores, retailers and departmental stores as well.

Similarly, the vehicles of the governmental offices, banks, public corporations and internet service providers will be allowed to run only between 9:00-10:00 in the morning and 5:00-6:00 in the evening.

The meeting has also decided to completely prohibit the construction works. Likewise, all the permission cards, which were issued previously by administration offices, have been cancelled. As per the meeting's another decision, only 7 people will be allowed to participate in a wedding ceremony.

Violaters of the above mentioned provisions will be subject of punishment according to the recently issued Covid-19 ordinance.

Along with other provisions, the ordinance has made legal arrangements to fine  2 thousand rupees for  two-wheelers and 5 thousand rupees for four-wheelers if they are found violating the rules of injunction. 

In the same way, people found in public places without wearing masks deserve to be fined 100 rupees for each time. And, those who wander at places without work will have to pay 200 rupees as penalty for violation.
