The writ petition, registered in the supreme court against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, is scheduled for hearing on Tuesday in the single bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JBR.

Petitioners have claimed that Mr. Oli refused to utter the word 'take oath' or 'pratigya garchhu' while taking oath as the prime minister of Nepal on 31 Baisakh. They say Mr. Oli not only refused to repeat the word after the president, he also said 'not that' or 'tyo pardaina' in the middle of taking the oath when the president repeated the word 'oath' or 'pratigya' twice.

Petitioners including the senior advocate Chandra Kanta Gyawali have claimed not uttering exactly the same as the president read was an unconstitutional act, and therefore, it was liable for nullification.
