After Bishnu Poudel, the general secretary of CPN (UML), had met with Madhav Kumar Nepal, the suspended senior leader of the party, KP Oli, the chairperson of the party, had called the party's standing committee's meeting. The meeting is going on now in Baluwatar.

Source says, issues including the latest political developments and about setting free to the punished leaders of the Nepal faction will be discussed in the meeting.

The issues that Nepal and Poudel discussed before the standing committee's meeting have not been disclosed yet. However, the meeting is taken as an important step for the reunification process of the party.

The time given by the president to the political parties in order to form coalition for a new majority government is going to end at 9:00 pm tonight. If the political parties fail to claim to form majority government by the time, then the president will constitutionally appoint the parliamentary party leader of the largest party in the House as the new prime minister. And the largest party in the present House of representative is the CPN (UML). 

Therefore, KP Oli, the parliamentary party leader of the UML will automatically, as per the provision of Article 76(3), be appointed as the new prime minister in that condition.

In calculation, the oppositions cannot form majority until all 28 MPs of the Nepal faction resign from the post of member of parliament.
