The chairperson of CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli, has called on a meeting of the General Convention Committee to sit at 1:00 pm on Monday.

UML source says 261 members of the Committee have been called for the meeting. The meeting is said to discuss on the political report, preparations of the general convention and of the by-election as well.

The Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal faction says they will not be involved in the meeting as the Committee itself is illegal.

Senior leader Nepal, including some others of his faction, have already been suspended from the general membership of the party for six months. The internal disputes of the party are still alive.
