The historical tower of Nepal, Dharahara's  reconstruction work is going to be completed soon. The tower was destroyed with the devastating earthquake of 12 Baisakh, 2072. The National Reconstruction Authority says the reconstructed Dharahara is to be inaugurated by prime minister KP Sharma Oli on 11 Baisakh, 2078- right after 6 years of its destruction.

The tower was built in 1882 BS, in the interest of Bhimsen Thapa, the then prime minister of Nepal,

The Authority claims that most of the reconstruction works of the earthquake-hit historical heritages including the Dharahara have been completed. The 18th meeting of the Directors Committe of the Reconstruction Authority, chaired by the prime minister himself, held on Tuesday, decided to prepare a disaster-risk-free Nepal program for a 10-year campaign. The campaign will start from the next fiscal year.

The program is being prepared in the colaboration of the National Disaster Risk-Reduction and Management Authority of the National Reconstruction Authority.

The Directors' Committee meeting expressed happiness saying the reconstruction works had reached on the verge of completion. The prime minister said the success of the reconstruction works was the nation's property, as well as a glory suitable to present in front of the world

The meeting has listed several  long-term works to be carried out through the disaster management program. The listed-works contain reconstruction and re-establishment works of ancient residential areas, world heritages including the Kathmandu valley etc.

The meeting has also decided to submit a budget-proposal, for the Authority, of 36.35 billion rupees to the Government of Nepal for the coming fiscal year.

The term of the National Reconstruction Authority will end on 10 Poush, 2078.
