The chairperson of the Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda on Tuesday informed the office of the secretariat of the parliament saying the 4 leaders of the party, minister for energy, water resource and irrigation Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, minister for industry, commerce  and import Lekharaj Bhatta, minister for urban development Prabhu Shah, and minister for labour, employment   and social security Gauri Shankar Chaudhary had left the party.

Chairperson Prachanda mentioned the reason behind the information saying the leaders had to represent the Maoist Center after the supreme court's verdict of 23rd Falgun when the CPN (UML) and the CPN (Maoist Center) were revived after collapsing the unified Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) by the court. However, they remained involved in the political activities of CPN (UML) and accepted the post of the party's Central committee member as well.

Earlier to this on 1 Chaitra, Maoist Center had asked for clarification and had urged them to go back from the government to the party saying the leaders had knowingly violated the responsibility given by the party's legislation and the Political Party Act, 2073.

Among them, Rayamajhi, Bhatta and Chaudhary had not given any reply, and the clarification given by Shah was also said to have been unsatisfactory. Therefore the Maoist Center had written to the secretarial office of the parliament to penalize them for leaving their party in accordance with the provision of the Political Party Act, 2073. Article 32 of the act has clearly mentioned the provision about leaving the party.

On the basis of the legal provision, chairperson Dahal has ousted the leaders even from the general membership of the party.

Similarly, the party source has informed that the letter about penalizing another leader Ram Bahadur Thapa is also ready to be dispatched to the secretariate of the parliament on Tuesday. On a different context, speaking in a people's training program on Tuesday, Mr. Dahal has confessed of committing a mistake by making Thapa the home minister forgetting that Mr. Thapa had attacked him with bomb during the election of 2070 BS.   On the other hand, the chairperson of the CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli has already suspended from the general membership to several senior leaders, including the former prime minister, Madhav Kumar Nepal for six months.
